Church.Inspired - Plans & Projects

Plans And Projects

North Way's three-year capital campaign is comprised of a number of transformational projects designed to make a significant difference in our church, our community, our nation and our world.

Transforming Our Church
We have been blessed to have so many to nurture and care for ...
... and we must make room for them all.
The bulk of your investment - more than 85% - in this phase of the capital campaign will be used at the North Way Wexford campus.

Worship Cafe

  • Two additional spaces, each seating 300-500 worshippers.
  • Provides more flexible space for new services, group gatherings, weddings.
  • The first space - The Worship Café - launched September 30, 2007 with the first North Way at the Worship Café weekend service.

Kidz Ministry

  • Additional childcare and classroom space.
  • Relieves current constraints; allows for continued growth.
  • Additional security controls.

Student Ministry

  • Much needed renovation to the existing Student Ministry.
  • More intimate & casual feel.

Adult Meeting Space

  • Additional meeting rooms and spaces added to accommodate growth.
  • Approximately 10,000 square feet of additional space in total.
  • To be used in small group meetings, small meetings, etc.

Community Atrium

  • Two story, all-weather atrium and gathering space.
  • Ties together current space with the new addition.

Connecting in our Community
Our mission extends of North Way Wexford and into the communities we share. And the best way to reach out to the greater community is to become part of it.

Through this capital campaign, we are reaching out and touching lives in our communities like never before.

Community Campuses

North Way Oakland is the first tangible example of our community campus strategy, as well as a direct result of capital campaign giving to date.

Launched on March 18, 2007, North Way Oakland is already a vibrant part of the community. Sunday service now brings more than 200 worshippers, and attendance continues to grow. To learn more about this wonderful success story, visit the North Way Oakland website at www.northwayoakland.org.

Mentoring

North Way has established a partnership with Pittsburgh Faison in Homewood through the District's Mentoring Initiative: Learning and Mentoring Partnerships (LAMP). Over 160 mentors and support volunteers have impacted the lives of hundreds of children in this ministry since its launch on May 1, 2006.

Impacting Our Nation
While there are many ways we could make an impact on our nation, we have chosen an approach that can ultimately spread that impact far and wide.

Through this capital campaign, North Way is partnering with others to train and equip the next generation of church leaders - at North Way and across the nation.

Mentoring

Our first two fellows recently completed a nine-month training program at North Way designed to teach emerging leaders how to lead and impact others. We are pleased that one of these fellows - Amy Swaagman - has joined the North Way Oakland staff. Click here to learn more about Amy.

Trinity Evangelical Divinity School Relationship

Preliminary approval was recently given to establish an extension campus of Trinity Evangelical Divinity School right here at North Way. Check back soon for more details

Making A Difference Around the World
A vibrant, living church must engage the global community, to strive to make a difference for those in physical and spiritual need. That's why North Way's capital campaign includes specific plans to reach out and touch lives beyond our borders.

Global Missions

North Way has always strived to confront disease, poverty, injustice, spiritual darkness and ignorance around the world through global outreach. Through our capital campaign, we are expanding our long-standing commitment to global humanitarian outreach, both directly and in partnership with other churches.

Check back here in the coming months to learn more about our plans.

Touching Hearts In Tibet

North Way has joined others to bring life-saving health care to the impoverished children of rural Tiobet. As of May 2007, this program has raised $630,000 towards the construction of a pediatric care facility and heart lab in Tibet. The program has ensured that more than 14,000 children have been screened for heart ailments, with several having received life-saving operations. And in the process, dozens of Tibetan children and their families have come to know Christ.

Through your support of our capital campaign, we expect to raise the remaining funds necessary to make this facility a reality.
