These words surround the experience of being a high school student. Blitz exists to help students navigate their
high school years by providing space to discover Jesus in a way that is real and relevant to their lives. Our
ministry programs are designed to come alongside parents as they seek to give their child a firm moral foundation
based on spiritual principles that will help them successfully navigate through life. Following Jesus does not
look the same to each generation, so through large group teaching that speaks their language to small group life
application designed to tackle the specific challenges they are facing, we work to help each student take ownership
of their faith. As relationships form naturally over time, mentors can begin to speak into the lives of the
teenagers as they navigate through some of the toughest years. We do this is a fun, safe and non-judgemental
environment where kids are excited to bring their friends.
Sunday nights is a must for High School students looking to get connected. The new ministry area is equipped with multimedia, video games, snack bar, conversation areas, pool tables, game tables and just about everything any teen would want to do. This environment makes it easy to connect with new friends. Add to that the live music, comedy skits, unique films and interactive events designed to tell the message of Jesus in a language a high school student can understand, and your teen will be counting the days until the next Sunday.
Girls and Guys Nights Out
Girls - come on out for free spa treatments, haircuts, chick flicks and lots of chocolate.
Guys - come out for video game tournaments, primanti’s wings and grub, and no chick flicks!
Global Impact
Teenagers want to make a difference in the world, and this 8-hour local mission project is a perfect way to introduce
your child to life outside of their own world. Partnering with teenagers from an inner city church, we will share
ideas and join together to tackle various work projects in our own city. Because of the nature of this mission trip,
teens will experience what it means to work on a team with a shared goal, and then be able to see that goal come to
pass. Events like this can change the trajectory of teenager’s lives.
DE takes life in the church beyond Sunday nights. Teens that want to take their faith to the next level need to explore the various options we have designed to help them build stronger relationships and grow closer to Jesus Christ. Consider getting involved in a mid-week bible study, or serving alongside other teenagers in the Kidz ministry during the weekend services. Kidz Church has many opportunities for teenagers to be small group leaders, storytellers, tech team, set-up crews, worship teams and much more. Being involved in this high-energy, fun environment keeps teens interested in coming to church, and the lessons being taught in Kidz Church help to reinforce the foundational truths that are so critical for them to understand.
