Student Ministries - Extreme Middle School
Middle School can be a tough time... but it can also be an exciting time, where
you make lifelong friendships, learn about your gifts and talents, and begin to define
who you are.
Our ministry to middle school students exists to help middle school students through this time in
their lives. What are we all about?
- We love to build friendships while having fun. It's no secret that students are full of energy and excitement - and those aren't bad things - se we try to provide space for students to have fun with our leaders. It may seem chaotic, loud, and crazy, but we think that's OK.
- We desire to create areas of conversation, where students can dialogue with adult leaders about real life and what it means to follow Jesus while in middle school.
- We partner with parents to raise spiritual champions. We provide resources like parent days, seminars and conferences where we clearly communicate what we're learning about helping middle schoolers follow Jesus.
Cross-Training is for students who do not just want to hear about God’s Word BUT LIVE IT!!! It’s designed to help
middle school students grow in their faith and give them ownership of their relationship with God. Students will
want to faithfully bring their Bibles and will benefit from accountability relationships with each other and their
small group leader. Each Cross-Training we will hang out and eat breakfast, worship together, listen to a message,
and share with a small group.
Periodically we will challenge students by training them to be leaders within the Kidz ministry. They will lead as
large group teachers, PAC Time or small group leaders, worship leaders, drama and technical team leaders, and in
other areas of Kidz ministry. We are very excited for our middle school students to learn through serving in Kidz
ministry how important service is in growing their relationship with God.
Sunday night Extreme is the on-ramp for all that Extreme offers. In our unconventional setting, complete with a
lounge, fun foods, and the latest in video games, students engage in a mixture of interactive events, unpredictable
comedy, and high-energy games. In this environment, they also hear a message designed to help a student follow Jesus.
Every week each student will connect in a smaller community of students and leaders, as they dialogue in small groups
about real life and following Jesus.
