Kidz Ministry - Volunteers

Connector

One word for this role is Observe. For parents who want to be involved but can't commit to a serving schedule. Show up any given Sunday to pitch in, worship and learn alongside your child to be better equipped to reinforce the lessons at home.
No serving commitment required.

"Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads." - Deuteronomy 6:5-8

Greeter

One word for this role is Welcome. To support the efforts of the volunteers in the room by freeing them of the responsibility to check in kids. Allowing the PAC and Room leaders more time to build relationships with the children.

  • Welcome all families with a smile.
  • Ensure every kid is safely checked in.
  • Help with the security of the room.
Serving commitment for Greeters is 1 to 2 times per month. No need to miss the main service.

"Whoever welcomes one of these little children in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me does not welcome me but the one who sent me." - Mark 9:37

PAC Leader

One word for this role is Relational. Our PAC leaders get to know the kids and help them discover more about Jesus. By learning the lesson alongside your child, parent PAC leaders become well equipped to continue the teaching in the home. PAC is an acronym for:

  • Pray with the kids.
  • Apply the truths from large group and bottom line.
  • Connect with the kids and help kids connect with each other.
Serving commitments are from 1 time per month to every week depending on your availability.

"Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever." - Daniel 12:3

Room Leader

One word for this role is Community. Our Room Leaders manage the rooms. They ensure that the PAC Leaders and Greeters are equipped and informed for the service.

  • Create a community for the volunteers and parents.
  • Providing a familiar face for parents.
  • Manage the serving schedule for a service.
  • Distributing lessons.
Serving commitments are at least 2 times per month to every week. Usually work in pairs to have consistent coverage throughout the year.

"Be shepherds of God's flock, the believers who are under your care. Serve as their leaders. Don't serve them because you have to. Instead, do it because you want to. That's what God wants you to do." - 1 Peter 5:2
