Outreach
North Way has been a strong advocate for Global Outreach from its very beginning believing that the
Great Commission is the essence of life in the church:
"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son
and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with
you always, to the very end of the age." - Matthew 28: 19-20
Ultimately North Way believes that Acts 1: 8 is a great example for ministry: "you will be my witnesses
in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."
L.A.M.P. (Local)
North Way believes that effective outreach begins with impacting the local community. In Acts 1:8 the very
first location mentioned is Jerusalem - the local community. North Way partners with other organizations in
reaching the city of Pittsburgh and surrounding areas. Additionally, North Way is committed to impacting the
city of Pittsburgh one student at a time through the Learning and Mentoring Partnership, or L.A.M.P., a
collaboration between the Pittsburgh Public Schools, Family Guidance, Inc., and area churches.
