August 8, 2018 | EBAC & Food Boxes

The team returned to EBAC today were they got a chance be part of morning worship with the children, which is always a heartwarming experience. Time was then spent tutoring, playing with the young children, and continuing to get to know the teenagers on a deeper level. The team also replaced the worn down swings on the playground, which was a big hit and lead to a lot of smiles! The team enjoyed a Haitian meal with the students before having to say goodbye. Some great relationships have been formed over the past few days and years, so it was sad for the team to leave the kids. In the afternoon, part of the team joined Monica in Pastor Jean Claude’s absence to help deliver monthly food boxes to a dozen or so widows, elderly, etc. from their church community. The team was so impressed with the relationships Monica has with these individuals and quickly realized that providing this food is so much more than just meeting the physical needs of these individuals, but also ministering to their spiritual needs. What a blessing it was serve alongside Monica and experience this process first hand.
