Thank you for choosing to serve with us! At North Way, the safety and security of our children, students, and others is critical to the health of our ministry. In order to be in compliance with Pennsylvania state laws, volunteers are required to have three separate background clearances: PA State Police, PA Child Abuse and FBI Fingerprint. These clearances serve to confirm and ensure that volunteers do not have a record of child abuse or any other criminal actions that would make them ineligible to volunteer with children. The documents below will walk you through each step of each process: PA State Police Check (Volunteer applications are free.) PA Child Abuse Clearance FBI Fingerprint Clearance FBI Fingerprints Affidavit Exemption (fillable PDF form)* Should you have questions regarding these clearances, please talk with the representative of the ministry for which you are volunteering, or feel free to contact the HR representatives at the Wexford Campus. They will be glad to work with you and answer any questions. *Any volunteer who has lived within the state of Pennsylvania for the past 10 years with no break in residence is eligible to sign an affidavit in place of the FBI Fingerprints Clearance.
