February 23, 2017 | Wednesday/Thursday
The Pastor’s Retreat began yesterday and runs through midday Friday. Both our global partners shared a word to kick-off the event, and they were both powerful. It was a celebration of the more than 500 churches that have been planted over the last 20 years and an exhortation to continue in the important work of spreading the gospel. There are over 100 pastors and ministry leaders in attendance from 4 countries and 10 states throughout India. Today at the second day of the conference, both Scott and Randy had the opportunity to teach at sessions. The concentration was on leading through conflict and building teams as an organization grows. Q&A sessions following each talk (which Steve also participated in) would indicate they were well accepted. It is humbling though to be speaking to such fruitful Kingdom workers from whom we are able to learn so much. Erin and Grace have been at the conference both mornings and then have transitioned over to the girls home in the afternoons for crafts and lesson time. Thank you for your prayers. The team is healthy physically and spiritually. Some have not found the sleep rhythm in the new time zone yet (we are 10 1/2 hours ahead of Pittsburgh) but are not suffering!
