February 6, 2017 | Happy and Tired

This morning we left Joshua House and went to meet Jean Claude and his family at their house. We then drove to the bottom of the mountain where the Mountain Church is. This hike up to the church took just over an hour. Despite the tough terrain, loose gravel, steep uphills, and the hot sun, we were surrounded the entire time by some of the most gorgeous scenery. Once we arrived to the Mountain Church we were happily surprised to see the tin roof already constructed that North Way had gratuitously provided. Shortly after, we divided up in our groups again. The children enjoyed the stories and games as hoped, the young adults had many followup questions displaying their interest in the Gospel and getting to know the Lord deeper, and all of the adults were readily awaiting the discussion on marriage. Group time was followed by the meal that is prepared there and provided for all in attendance. After the trek back down we piled into the van and stopped back at Jean Claude and Monica’s where we were able to spend a little more time with their kids. We then came back to Joshua House and enjoyed a nice meal. Dinner was followed by our normal group devotion but tonight we got to spend time with Brad Henderson who sat in with us and discussed all of the projects that are in the works right here in Haiti. We are all going to bed tired and happy. All are looking forward to the beach day tomorrow!
