Our Mission Rooted in prayer and the Biblical call to “do justice, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with our God” (Micah 6:8), our mission is to advocate on behalf of the vulnerable and oppressed by engaging the church through education and outreach. Our Ministry Founded at North Way in 2012, we are dedicated to raising awareness about the plight of the vulnerable and oppressed, including victims of human trafficking. We focus specifically on the people of North Way Christian Community, generally on other churches in our region, and also on the circles of influence of our global mission partners. The Justice Team provides opportunities for both our team and the larger church body to volunteer and engage in ways to serve the vulnerable and oppressed, including the development of strategic relationships with churches and agencies to multiply the impact of our collective work. Wishlist for the Soft Interview Room Project with FBI-Pittsburgh

Through our tenure of serving alongside the Western PA Human Trafficking Coalition through resource coordination, we have an opportunity to partner with the FBI (Pittsburgh) on the creation of a soft interview room for suspected victims of human trafficking in Western PA and the surrounding areas. Creating a space that is comfortable rather than stark allows the participant to feel physically and emotionally safe and can have a significant impact on the interview process and thus the potential of gathering critical information needed to lead to the prosecution of the offender(s). The Justice Team is providing the opportunity for individuals to engage by purchasing items from a created wish list to complete the room and to prepare it for young men, women and children to share their stories and begin their journey toward freedom and health. NOTE: All items should be shipped directly to the FBI-Pittsburgh office address which is noted in the wish list.
