May 17, 2017 | Come and see
It’s always so difficult to capture what is going on in the hearts, minds, and souls of folks on a short term mission trip. The sights, sounds, and smells are always so different that words alone cannot translate across the miles back home. It’s the experience alone that makes the picture complete. No amount of pictures or stories will magically transport you into what this team is living right now. That’s why Jesus invites all to “come and see” (John 1:39). It’s an invitation to move from simply hearing about what He is doing in the world to actually experiencing it first hand. This could be in Cambodia, but it could also be right in your own neighborhood. But I won’t lie to you…there is risk involved. The invitation to “come and see” is extended out there for all of us, but we must take that first step of faith to trust Him. That’s why I’m so proud of this team right now. They are so out of their comfort zones today and they are loving every minute of it. They have come…and they are seeing…the Lord at work, not only around them, but through them. Praise God.
