October 10, 2017 | Day 5 – EBAC & IDADEE
Today the team got to spend their morning at the EBAC academy. Founded nearly 40 years ago by a couple of women from Pennsylvania, this academy has become home to nearly 100 students, some of which are orphans and others are sent for their education. Each year the team really enjoys the opportunity to go and spend time with the students at EBAC. While school is in session the team helps tutor the students. However, during this visit the students were on break so they had the opportunity to play soccer with them which was a lot of fun. The children often love playing with and exploring the different textures of hair that our team members have which resulted in lots of braids and new hairdos. After a fun time with the students the team went back to the Joshua House for lunch before going over to the IDADEE orphanage which is on the same property as the Joshua House. There they played a couple more games of soccer and spent more time getting to know the kids at the orphanage. Tomorrow will be spent at Pastor Jean Claude’s home working on odd jobs and playing with the kids. Please pray for God’s blessings on their last couple of days in Haiti before the team begins their journey home on Friday.
