Prepare: An Introduction to Christianity
Prepare is a great place to begin your discipleship journey. This five-week small group experience introduces the basics of what it means to follow Jesus – such as how to begin a relationship with God, how to pray and read the Bible, and what it means to be baptized and experience the community that can be found within the church. How to Use Prepare Prepare is designed as a simple resource for you to use as you become a disciple of Jesus – and as you go about making disciples who make disciples. Our hope is that this tool will give you the confidence you need to step out in faith and disciple people whom God has placed in your life. As you go through this material, teach what you learn. The material is not meant simply to be read, but to be lived out and taught to others. Share life – not just information! This experience is designed to be highly relational, for true discipleship involves deep relationships. Jesus didn’t simply lead a weekly Bible study. He lived life with his disciples, and taught through actions as well as words. Each week, you’ll watch a video and work through the corresponding study guide on your own. Take the time to answer each question and read through each Scripture verse. Set a time to sit down over coffee or lunch with the person with whom you’re walking through this material. Over the course of four weeks, you’ll discuss what you’re learning, what questions you have and how all of this applies to your life. If you have questions along the way, please email Adult Life Champion Amanda Seidler.
